A Touch of Ink

In this drawing there are two kimonos, kimono tops are a big part of fashion at the moment, with teens to adults wearing them! Kimonos that are in now are usually short and look like baggy cardigans, I took a mixture of this and traditional to create the images I drew. The garment on the left I imagine to be made in a pale shade of pink with the rose to the left of it embroided all over the body and sleeves. The other one I drew I imagine to be made in various shades of blue and the small branches with little flowers printed over it.

This is my design for a suit fit to wear from work to evening wear, I have designed the colour scheme to be shades of blue. The paisley pattern shown in magnified view covers the entire jacket and slim fit trousers. The jacket in the sketch has two darts in the front, this helps the jacket fit better on the body and gives it a more flattering appearance on the wearer. The trousers are slim fit with a single crease down the front and a belt to accessorize simply.

Steampunk was based in 19th century’s (the Victorian era), it often flutters in and out of fashion and with vintage fashion hitting a high steampunk is a popular trend.I’ve designed a heavyweight cropped jacket, sleeves ruched at the elbow and tight button up cuff. A small satchel connects to the belt to and utility to outfit, which save bringing a bag. The stripy trousers then lead down to the high cut boots.

Here we have a suit and tie, an average slim fit tie with a cross hatched style shirt, this can vary in colors to suit the color of the tie, the jacket can also vary in color from White to Green. The jacket is designed to be a wool blend, and the lining is made of a poly cotton, the polyester in the blend will help it slide onto the wearer with ease. Along with a smart belt and slim fit trousers any male can pull of this dapper urban look!

Here I have drawn a basic heeled shoe shape with cross over straps. I have designed there to be lace on the platform of the shoe and two of the straps, since Kate’s wedding dress many fashion items have become lace from tops to shoes. The shoe has a simply buckle fastening around the ankle to help hold the shoe on the wearer.
